CENTRE RULES ADOPTED AT THE 2024 AGM

Members
All members and visitors attending Rallies/Functions organised by the Yorkshire Pennine Centre, do so entirely at their own risk. The Caravan and Motorhome Club, Yorkshire Pennine Centre Committee and Rally Marshals accept no responsibility for accidents, damage or loss, however caused. 


Please be aware that the person making a rally booking is responsible for the behaviour of all group members including children and any visitors coming onto site. Members and their visitors must respect the property of the landowner and follow the countryside code. 

  1. Any site or part of a site on which a rally is held shall be for the sole use of the members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club and their outfits.
  2. The Rally Marshals must be either a full or joint member of the Caravan and Motorhome Club and a registered member of Yorkshire Pennine Centre. 
  3. Rally Marshals, Officers of the Centre and committee members shall not divulge any personal data of members or make any use thereof except for the correspondence of the centre or Club. The Officers, committee members and all marshals must respect the current General Data Protection Regulations.
  4. Ralliers must inform the Rally Marshal of any visitors on arrival and at their departure; visitors must abide by the Yorkshire Pennine Centre Rally Rules. 
  5. Where socials and suppers are provided on a rally; only those adults and children booked on a rally slip or booking form and sleeping in the outfit up to a max of 2 adults and 3 Under 16 , will be deemed to have booked for socials and suppers. Extra tickets for the social and suppers may be available at the discretion of the Rally Marshal extra charges may be levied.
  6. Refusal of Entry or Removal. Rally Marshals with Centre Officer support have the right to refuse the use of the Rally Site to any member or visitor. Marshals and/or Center Officers may request them to leave the rally.
  7. Equipment. No member will use equipment not owned by the Yorkshire Pennine Centre or the Caravan and Motorhome Club on rallies or socials without prior permission of the committee. Any damage to the Centre equipment must be reported to the Quartermaster as soon as possible. 
  8. Rally Fees. Unless previously paid all Rally Fees shall be paid to the Rally Marshal or Co Marshal on arrival at the site, members are reminded they should produce a current CAMC membership cards when paying site fees.
  9. Non-Attendance at Rallies. Members who book a rally and do not attend must pay £5.00 cancelation fee, unless the booking is cancelled no later than 7 days previous to the start of the rally. For holiday rallies cancellation conditions may differ and non-returnable deposits of £10 will be payable at the time of booking.
  10. Any payments made by cheque for rallies and socials must be made payable to the “Yorkshire Pennine Centre”. Cheques must not be made out to individuals or post-dated.  
  11. All motorised vehicles and cycles on the Rally Site shall not exceed 5 miles/hour [ walking pace ]. Only fully licensed and insured drivers are allowed to drive vehicles on the Rally Site, under no circumstances are driving lessons permitted. 
  12. E Scooters are NOT permitted on Yorkshire Pennine Centre rallies.
  13. Flying Kites or Drones, or playing of Ball Games ( including Swing Ball ) in the vicinity of/or over outfits and cars is not permitted. 
  14. Barbecues must not be lit close to awnings, cars or outfits and be of “off ground design”. Disposable BBQs are not permitted on Yorkshire Pennine Centre rallies.
  15. Ralliers and their visitors must not cause annoyance to fellow ralliers by the creation of excessive noise, or by loud music.  
  16. Generators may be used for a maximum of 2 hours per day between 9.00am and12 Noon or 4.00 pm to 7.00pm. Generators must not be left unattended whilst running and must be of sound reducing design. This rule does not affect Rally Marshals where generators are being run for rally activities or disabled members needing to charge medical equipment. 
  17. Reserving Pitches will be a matter for the Rally Marshal to decide.  
  18. Weapons of any description must not be brought to rally venues. 
  19. Animals must be kept on a lead, not exceeding 2m in length at all times and exercised off the Rally Site or around the perimeter. Animals must not be brought to indoor socials, opening and closing events.  All animal waste must be cleaned up and disposed of appropriately. 
  20. Sanitation. Own sanitation must be provided at all rallies. Facilities for the disposal of chemical effluent will be provided. Under no circumstances must toilets or any other waste containers be taken to, or serviced under the drinking water tap. 
  21. Dry Waste. Ralliers must make provision for the storage and removal of all dry waste at short rallies. On holiday or longer rallies land owners may make a charge for skips or similar. In these cases charges will be added to the rally fee.  Members must ensure that their pitches are left clean and tidy. 
  22. Small /pup tents with a ground sheet area not exceeding 2 metre square, are permitted on all weekend and holiday rallies, in accordance with CAMC guidelines and under the following centre conditions
  23. Both the Site Owner and the Rally Marshal are in full agreement to the pitching of tents on the rally site.
  24. The ralliers making the booking must meet in full any additional charges resulting from the use of tents.
  25. Where outfits are pitched in line backing onto a boundary hedge or fence, pup tents may pitched between the caravan and the site boundary [behind the caravan]. Alternatively they must be pitched in the space, which would normally be occupied by a full size awning, when attached to the caravan.  The CAMC pitching spacing requirements must be maintained.
  26. Where a porch type awning is erected a small pup tent may be pitched in the area, which would normally be occupied by a full size awning, provided the tent, does not protrude beyond either end of the caravan. The tent is screened by a windbreak. The CAMC spacing requirements must be maintained. The occupants of the tent remain the sole responsibility of the member making the booking for the rally. 
  27. Non-member Guests-Non-member guests of Club members may visit the rally and are the responsibility of the member who invited them, eg for any breach of the Club’s codes of behaviour and conduct or centre rules. Guests are not allowed to visit in their own outfit. If staying overnight, they must stay in the host member’s outfit.


  • The only allowance is for tents, in addition to pup and trailer tents, which are permitted on rallies over five days. This will allow relatives and friends of Club members, who camp, but not caravan or motorhome members, to accompany them on longer rallies of over five nights. Provide that the Land Owner and Rally Marshals are in full agreement of this arrangement.
  • The “guests” must be allocated to a a separate pitch adjacent to the members pitch and pay the normal rally fee for the full duration of their stay. 
  • Any non-member attending such rallies will continue to be the responsibility of the Club member who invited them. Therefore, the Club member must also be attending the rally over the same dates as the non-member. Consequently, rally bookings by non-member campers must be made by the Club member.
  • The pitch spacing and rally site layout requirements must be maintained as per CAMC Guidance.


28Yellow Flag. The flying of the Yellow flag when ground conditions are bad, indicates the restriction of all vehicle movement including 4x4 vehicles on or off the rally site. Permission must be obtained from the Rally Marshal before vehicles are moved. 

  1. Towing Off. Should it be necessary to use a 4x4 vehicle etc. for the movement of cars and caravans, the Club, Centre, Rally Marshal, Owner or Driver of the towing off vehicle, will not accept any responsibility for any damage which may occur.  
  2. Many outfits attending rallies are now considerably larger and heavier. Members with such outfits should ensure they have with them suitable equipment to pitch and level the outfit.
  3. Members with these outfits should ensure that they have the means to leave all rally sites independently.
  4. NOTE: Insurance offered by CAMC covers members for extricating units stuck or “bogged down”. Other insurers may also offer a similar service.
  5. 28. The attendance at the rally and/or payment of the Rally Fee shall be an acceptance by the member of these rules, which are supplementary to the obligation, which all members undertake on joining the Caravan and Motorhome Club, including the observation of the Caravan Code and Countryside Code. 


Members are reminded that the Centre Officers, Committee, and Rally Marshals devote a great deal of time and effort to ensure that you enjoy a wide variety of events within our Centre. Please give them your full co-operation in return.
